Summary
Tyler Joseph returns to the ice after an injury stole his Olympic shot, skating alone at odd hours while hiding the panic, the flashbacks, and the fact that he’s barely holding his life together. In a sport where weakness is unforgivable, he keeps every fracture hidden.
Joshua Dun, a disciplined coach shaped by harsh Russian training, notices the way Tyler skates like he’s running from something. He isn’t supposed to intervene—but Tyler’s raw brilliance and quiet desperation pull him in.
As the pressure of competition builds, the two form a slow, fragile connection on and off the ice. Tyler struggles to stay afloat, Josh tries to keep distance, and the rink becomes both refuge and battleground.
In a world demanding perfection, their story follows the thin line between breaking and becoming—between falling alone and learning to trust someone to catch you.

Summary
When Death-Cast calls Josh Dun to inform him that he’s going to die today, he doesn't believe it. He’s only twenty-three and just moved to Columbus to pursue his dream of drumming in one of his favorite bands. He’s fit, he’s healthy, and he's supposed to have his entire life ahead of him.
After Death-Cast calls Tyler Joseph, however, he can’t help but breathe a sigh of relief. He’s spent his entire life living on borrowed time, having been born with a severe, fatal heart condition. Most of his young adulthood has been spent in hospital rooms, churches, and his bedroom under the near-constant supervision of a hospice nurse. Getting this phone call is the motivation he needs to break out of the small quarters he’s been forced into.
When Tyler and Josh connect on an app called Last Friends, they set out to live an entire life in a single day, and forge a connection that goes far beyond friendship in the process.

At a summer camp tucked deep in the woods, Tyler, an emotionally guarded music producer known for his control and clean record of camp trophy wins, vows to keep his distance from the new, chaotic sports counselor who’s all charm, noise, and trouble. But as the heat rises and the days stretch longer, so does the tension between them. With each challenge, and each stolen glance, Tyler finds himself slowly unraveling in ways he never planned for.
The more he tries to hold himself together, the more he realizes some things were never meant to stay untouched.
