    Still reeling from Tony and Natasha's deaths, Steve goes back to 2012, using his knowledge of the future to alter the timeline. This time, they'll stop Thanos without losing anyone. This time, he's going to do things right, whatever it takes.

    What he failed to anticipate, however, was developing feelings for the one person who is strictly off-limits.

    It should've been simple. All he had to do was keep the Avengers together, save the world, and not fall in love with Tony in the process. Instead, one change after another sends events spiraling off in a new and unpredictable direction. Now, the future he remembers is gone, and his meddling might just cost Tony the very thing he came back to protect.

    In a world where legal indenture is the routine way to pay off a debt, Darcy has to indenture herself to SHIELD, and finds herself bought by two of its most famous agents.

    Notes:

    Written for a prompt on avengerkink: After SHIELD classifies her internship, Darcy indentures herself to pay her college debt. Steve and Bucky keep their new toy naked and blissed out in their apartment.

    Verse-building:
    - Indenture Contracts are a common form of debt repayment; like taking out a loan.
    - Any one over 21 can sign an indenture contract.
    - Contracts are heavily regulated, with social and legal backing.
    - Most contracts aren't sexual.
    - Asking people about events during contracts after they've ended is a big faux pas.

    Bonus if; an evil SHIELD agent set up Darcy, intending to buy her contract but Steve (the big damn hero) can't help himself.
    + DP, gags, restraints, positive verbal reinforcement, D/s

    No blood play, watersports or scat please.

    Author Says: I have both Mildly Dubious Consent as well as Explcit Consent for a reason - Darcy is put into being indentured through no real fault of her own, so there's the dubcon, but she has to explicitly consent to being a sex toy, so that's where that comes in. Various layers of consent.

    They’re nursing the first round of beers when Clint says, “Whoa,” in an awed tone. When Steve turns to face him, Clint’s got almost comically large eyes which seem to be darting between Steve, Natasha, and something over Steve’s shoulder. “Is that Lewis with Henry from Accounting?”

    Sure enough, when Steve darts a look, trying for casual enough that if Darcy catches him looking it won’t appear like he’s creepily staring at her, she is, indeed, sitting next to Henry, her eyes focused on his face as he tells her a story that involves a lot of hand gestures. Darcy laughs suddenly and brings her bottle of beer to lips. Steve tries not to stare at her mouth and fails miserably.

    He and Darcy haven’t crossed paths many times over the last few months that she’s been working at the tower on various projects with Stark or SHIELD, but she reminds him a bit of the girls that used to run the show in his old neighbourhood, used to wear bright red lipstick and let the wind toss their skirts up high enough that the married, church-going women would toss them a dirty, judgemental look before corralling their children or husbands into their homes.
