Cody isn't the kind of cadet who’d leave an injured brother alone—especially not when it’s Rex.

    Summary

As he took in the maze of cuts and bruises that covered Obi-Wan’s face, Qui-Gon found he barely recognized the bold young Initiate who had begged to be taken as a Padawan. In front of him lay a mere child: small, fragile, and trembling.
Qui-Gon drew his hand away from Obi-Wan’s forehead. “Call the medics,” he told Clat’Ha.

Qui-Gon swore never to take another Padawan, and he intends to keep that promise. But on the way to Bandomeer, when an unfortunate encounter with a Hutt puts Obi-Wan in sickbay with serious injuries and a high fever, Qui-Gon cannot help but worry for him.

A missing scene from The Rising Force in which Qui-Gon looks after a badly injured Obi-Wan.

“These bandages need to be changed,” Qui-Gon said. He gently tugged Obi-Wan’s tunic collar back over his shoulder, and fixed him with a steady gaze. “Is this your only injury?” he asked.

    Obi-Wan reluctantly shook his head.

Before departing on their first mission as Master and Padawan, Qui-Gon discovers and tends to the injuries Obi-Wan received while on Bandomeer. Oneshot set between The Dark Rival and The Hidden Past.

    Summary

It had not taken much to convince the cart-driver he belonged among the dead. With eyes bruised black and ghastly pale skin, he looked far more like a ghost than a living, human boy. He had no strength left to rise, but this only served to complete the illusion that he belonged with the other passengers in the cart; those who would never rise again. Obi-Wan was lifted from the ground, heaved over the driver’s shoulder, and tossed atop the pile of stiff limbs and frozen faces. It should have been enough to make him sick, but he was already too sick to notice the difference. He closed his eyes and drifted, far away.

Obi-Wan makes a desperate attempt to escape an isolated city that has been overtaken by disease, in the hopes of finding his Master, and a cure, before it is too late.
