As a child first hears a lullaby, coaxing them into slumber, they dream of faraway lands, fairy god-mothers, sparkly castles and heroic deeds. Beidou was no different. She dreamt of slaying the leviathan sea monster Haishan. Everyone would marvel at her strength as she brings the beast's head home, bloody and victorious.
Having no vision was never a substantial worry for Beidou. She was going to kill the mighty mythical beast, one way or another. Selfish reasons or not, Ningguang accompanies her as she ventures into the sea one last time, to finish the job. Or die trying.
