Summary
Caelum lived his childhood on the run, being the son of an apostate mage and a deserted woman, both always hiding, from templars and from the past. When his two siblings are born, the family finds a place in Lothering and he learns what means to grow roots for the first time, even in a village as small as it was.
This life turns into a distant memory as comes the death of his father and the Blight after it. He ends up in Kirkwall, and he changes the city just as much as the city changes him. Caelum never fitted in small roles, ever the charmer in a room, the hand for all works, going in every direction, and yet the world turns him into something bigger than himself, something he never planned to be.
He's the winner as much as the loser. He leaps and sinks just as far as he flies. And still, he refuses to be beaten, because smirks and wit can take you very far, if you're good enough at it.

This was so ridiculous. Kirishima knew what he was waiting for. He knew what he wanted. Why the hell was he being so difficult? Why was any of this even happening?
“You always fuckin' kiss me before I leave,” he spat out, hating the way that heat pooled into his cheeks, hating how desperate he was.
Kirishima’s eyes were shiny again when he dipped his head back down to stare at the floor.
“I don’t want to…” he whispered.
He didn’t want to.
Katsuki’s jaw clenched so tight he wasn’t sure if it was ever going to open again. Kirishima didn’t want to kiss him.
Was this it? Were they… over?
