Moving back to Vancouver city she finally has the chance to try out for the illustrious fight team at Huntr/x gym. Their head coach known across the globe for her ability to craft boxers into deadly weapons. For once, she's not the only girl - which could prove a nice surprise.

She set the bags on her bed and got to work. Laptop open, she pulled up the tutorial video for the pipe-cleaner bouquet, deciding she’d assemble the candy bouquet tomorrow morning when her nerves weren’t already fried.
The pipe cleaners, however, did not care about her emotional state.
She poked herself once—and then several more times after.
By the twentieth stab, she was convinced the flowers were actively fighting back.
Halfway through shaping a petal, there was a knock at her door.
She froze.
“Rumi?” Zoey’s voice came muffled through the wood, warm and slightly pouty. “Can I come in? I wanna cuddle. I barely saw you all day.”
Crap.
Think.
Think fast.
“I—uh—I’m busy!” she blurted.
Pause.
She panicked and her brain supplied the worst possible cover story ever:
“I’m naked and looking at my body for anatomical reference—I can’t right now, sorry!”

"Which means you," Dr. Choi turns to the other woman, "are my two o'clock appointment. Ryu Rumi?"
"Yes," she says, standing up and extending her hand for a handshake. She has a diplomatic smile on her face, charming and practiced to perfection. Mira can hardly imagine what it's like to be on the receiving end of it.
Dr. Choi, however, is apparently immune. She puts one hand on her waist and looks up at Rumi with a glare. She holds Rumi's client file up with her other.
"Rumi-nim, respectfully, this is the worst intake form I've ever seen in my life. "
Mira holds back a snicker.
