“Don’t want to be alone,” Dick admits, eyes dropping to the ground in shame. “I’m sorry.”
And while Jason had been able to resist his seducing words a few times, he’d never really managed Dick’s vulnerable ones. The two of them stand in silence for a moment, just waiting for the other to make a move. Jason’s hesitant, afraid to open the can of works he’d so desperately tried to hold back.
“That doesn’t mean you come here, Dick,” Jason says finally. “Fuck, we talked about this already.”
“Just wanted to go home.”

Summary

It had started six months ago during a joint mission. Damian had miscalculated a jump, and Red Hood had caught him mid-air with one arm, swinging them both to safety while making it look effortless.
The casual strength, the crooked grin afterwards, the way Jason had ruffled his hair and said "Nice try, Robin" with something almost like fondness—it had done something irreversible to Damian's brain chemistry.

(Basically, Bruce had a convenient vial of vampire blood to inject into Jason's veins when Jason died of crowbar. It failed, until three days after the funeral Jason crawls out of the grave and stumbles to Wayne Manor.)
