Maybe their ending could change now. Assimilation knows of the notes and how supposedly this wasn’t their first time. But maybe it wasn’t meant to go like this. To have his heart beat so roughly in his chest while he carried Andre, the poor speedrunner’s chest being blown right open. He wasn’t sure he would be able to fix the poor AI, fix his chest, the diamond armor being no match for the admin as it had been pierced right through. He somehow lived, somehow in the sense that he was lucky enough to not be brutally torn apart by the admins supposed guns. Now all he could was carry poor Andre as he treaded through, they were going to collect him, but he swooped in at the last second and took Andre into his arms. They were still in the overworld, still had the admins chasing them, and still weren’t free yet.

Summary
An endless loop, the same thing constantly replayed over and over again. Nothing to stop it. It's the same old, same old, no expectations of anything new because there simply couldn't be. Every ending led back to the beginning.
So imagine the shock of a priest, tourist, and expendable when the loop halted. It wasn't the same old because there was something new in play.
Shocking, of course, none know just how to feel at first, only answer seemed to be pointing fingers and saying clearly the other was a threat.
Not that they knew as a group, but they knew individually that this meant there was hope for their loop to stop. For good.Through their hatred they learn that, MAYBE, they should listen to the guy who's been replaying the loop through gathering this stupid crystal and KNOWS the place, and MAYBE that guy should stop being a prick and learn to communicate.
He can say it's because they haven't had human contact in years worth of this loop all he wants, but can he really tell himself that's what it is when his mind goes blank at the thought of losing these people?

He was gasping—clutching his side, instinctively curling around the pain that wasn't there anymore—remembering the bullets tearing through his ribs and shoulder. He half-expected to still be on that stage, still bleeding, with Till’s face above him looking devastated.
Instead, the moment his obsidian eyes blinked up, it was into blinding fluorescent lights, with a looming figure above him—tall, plump, and distinctly alien. Familiar in the worst possible way.
