Summary
Relics from Uzushiogakure are rare and precious. In his lifetime, Iruka has received three of them. One from his mother, one from the mysterious Anbu and one from the Hokage. Mount Hokage holds memories that only sakura flower can revive. “And though sakura flowers always wither, they always bloom the following year”, a travelling photographer told him one day. Even though, deep down, Iruka knew it's always been him.

Summary
“Naruto’s a strong kid,” Kakashi says, who has sauntered up to them in the meantime. “He’ll be fine.”
Iruka smiles sadly. “I hope so. Thank you for helping us." He says and bows as deeply as he can manage with Naruto clinging to him – which isn’t very deep. “If you hadn’t been there…” He pauses, the imagery of what could have happened too violent in his mind. and he shakes his head to get rid of it.
“Please,” he says. “Can I do anything to repay you?”
“Maa, sensei,” Kakashi says, sticking his hands in his pockets. “I didn’t do it to get anything in return.”
“I know that, Jounin-san, but I want to,” Iruka says, and blurts the first thing that pops up in his mind, “how about dinner?”

“I admit it would complicate things a little, I have to say,” Satoru huffs a laugh. “But that’s the magic of childhood. You get to make so many stupid mistakes and still make it out relatively unscathed.”
“You didn’t.”
It’s not aimed at him with the intention to hurt, and Satoru has made peace with it in his own ways. Honestly, he doesn’t know how much Megumi even remembered about Suguru—he was just so little when Satoru was breaking down under the weight of his world crumbling. He can’t say he did a good job hiding it from the kid, being seventeen himself and the world being so volatile. Megumi has always been far too wise for his age, and so was Tsumiki, and it was easier to forget his regrets when he had two little munchkins to feed and keep entertained.
Satoru is grateful for what he has now—this moody rascal is truly his blessing.

Megumi is spiralling a little, and Satoru knows the taste of that grief.
