“What?” She stared at Javadi, trying to figure out if maybe the other woman had finally grown a backbone and decided to start fucking with Trinity.
“Well, the two of you always come in together and you leave together and you bicker all the time…” Javadi trailed off, glancing between them.
Unable to stop herself, Trinity began laughing. Cackling, really. A loud, snorting laugh that she hadn’t heard from herself in ages.
“It’s not that funny,” Whitaker said with a long-suffering look on his sad little face.
“I’m a lesbian, crash. That’s why it’s funny. He’s my roommate. My very platonic roommate.”
“You haven’t noticed her whole thing with Doctor Garcia?” Whitaker said, clear retribution for Trinity’s laughing spell. “Everyone’s been talking about it.”

“We can have a real girls’ sleepover. Makeovers, rom coms. Talk about boys,” Trinity jokes. Mel’s brows scrunch up, her lips pursing in thought.
“I’ve never been to one of those.”
“What?” Trinity asks loudly, disbelievingly, and Mel flinches. “Sorry, but—what? Never?”
“No,” Mel affirms. “I didn’t have a lot of friends growing up, and the friends I did have were mostly focused on academics.” Mel presses her fingers together on the table, her gaze out the window. Trinity watches Mel bite at her lower lip, how her eyebrows furrow and then relax again. “I always wanted to, though.”
“We’re doing it,” Trinity immediately blurts. Mel swivels to look at her, and Trinity nods, gathering her own confidence. “Yeah, we’ll make it into a whole girls’ night,” she continues. “We’ll invite Mohan and Javadi. Whitaker, too.”

Mel’s face turns to her fully. As if pulled by something magnetic, Trinity tears her stare away from its spot staring at the door jamb and meets Mel’s hazel eyes. Sees the flecks of gold in them, droplets of sunlight swimming around her blown pupils.
Mel is flushed, pink smatterings over her cheekbones and the point of her nose. Her brows are furrowed like she can’t quite fathom what Trinity has told her. Before Trinity can reel it in, to play it off as a joke, Mel offers a simple, “Of course we are.”

Summary
Canon Divergence AU wherein the episode ‘the God Complex’ did not happen for 11/Amy/Rory, but instead for 13/Yaz/Dan. After the events of ‘Eve of the Daleks’, the Doctor intends to make good on her promise to ‘tell [Yaz] everything’, and perhaps an emotional confession. Yaz is delighted to hear as much, but also anxious over what might be said, especially after Dan gave her the push to confront her own feelings about the ineffable alien.
Before they can land in San Munrohvar, however, the TARDIS is dragged off-course into a mysterious, unfathomable, and inescapable hotel. Will Yaz and the Doctor hold their nerves through the terrifying ordeal of the Minotaur, and come out the other side on top? Or will it tear them apart?
Plot very closely follows the real episode, but with a strong focus on 13 and Yaz's relationship throughout.
