Summary
“Tim sweetheart please, you need to eat even if Papa isn’t here right now, " Bruce tried to convince his second youngest, currently seated in the high chair throwing a temper tantrum at eight in the morning on a Monday all because Clark wasn't home. Tim was throwing the porridge at Bruce’s shirt he just changed into, his face red from screaming and tears were running down his chubby cheeks. "Papa!!! I want Papa!!!” The toddler was screaming on top of his lungs. Bruce was sure Damian was going to wake up if he didn’t get Tim to calm down and eat his food in peace. “I know sweetheart but Papa isn’t here right now, but he will be back soon and then you get your Papa all to yourself.” That just made the toddler even more furious and if Bruce didn’t have years of experience and training as Batman under his belt the next load of porridge aimed at him by his second youngest would have hit him square in the face.

Summary
Tim has always known how to be quiet. Ever since he was young he's known how to evade creaky floorboards and squeaky door hinges. He uses these skills to follow Batman and Robin as they fly all over Gotham.
Tim knows how to be quiet, but he hates silence. He's always hated the suffocating silence of his house and the mocking looks that the empty walls give him. Walls that would otherwise have family photos if his parents were ever around so they could be a family.
Or: Tim Drake hates the quiet and manages to wriggle his way into the batfam.

Bruce doesn’t think of himself as a horrible person. He knows he’s not perfect, but he tries at least. And he likes to believe that has to count for something. He loves his kids, his partner, and the man who raised him more than he knows how to say. That’s the problem, really. He just doesn’t know how to express it in a way they understand.

“Clark,” at last he speaks, and Bruce’s expression is— his artificial smile is nowhere to be seen, his face a mask so blank it’s eerie, as though he’s been carved from stone. “Clark. You’re drunk. You don’t know what you’re saying.”
“No,” echoes Clark stubbornly. “I mean it. I’m in love with you.”
“You’re in love with me,” says Bruce, flatly. “After years of knowing each other, just like that. You’re suddenly in love with me.”
it's clark's birthday; he gets drunk. and really, who cares that there are other people in the room, or that he was worried about confessing in the first place for a reason? someone should tell bruce how much he's loved.

Clark sighs and closes his eyes.
“Say 'yes', Clark,” Bruce orders.
Clark doesn't open his eyes, just says, “Yes, Clark.”
