Summary
Zuko's ship finally reaches the South Pole after a long and treacherous voyage across the Mo Ce Sea as he and his crew faced numerous dangers and risked a lot just to reunite with Sokka. Together, their efforts to solve this strange spirit nonsense that landed them in this alternate reality of their world will result in unearthed conspiracies, devastating betrayals, and more tragedy than either of them has faced before.
Forcing them to face the daunting question: Is it all truly worth it in the end? Or should they simply give up and resign themselves to the simplistic, quiet lives this world has to offer.

Summary
-This is the last book of the series LIAB, please go read the other two books before this, or you will be very confused-
Zuko has been taken by the Earth Kingdom army to who-knows-where, and Sokka is determined to get him back.
But he can’t do it alone.
With Suki and the Kyoshi Warriors by his side, Sokka is headed to Ba Sing Se to find Katara and Aang so they can go rescue his fire bender.
Things aren’t as easy as he had hoped. Corruption, lies, and unknown horrors await them inside the city’s walls. None of this is helping Sokka’s mental well-being.
Hakoda and his men face a problem of their own as Azula approaches with the intentions of making it rain fire.
Sokka and Zuko will both find themselves having to reintegrate back into a life they thought they left behind, with people they hardly remember. It isn’t easy for anyone, especially when they don’t recognize the person standing in front of them.

Summary
After the events of War Crimes, Sokka and Zuko have escaped Zhao’s warship and are fleeing across the Earth Kingdom. As well as unfamiliar terrain, they have to navigate their shared trauma, work out where they fit into the war, and their place in each others lives.
Sokka is aware that being friends with the enemy is going to bring complications, but he probably should have guessed that being friends with Zuko in particular, was going to be a bit like dunking your head repeatedly into a bucket of angry Fire Ferrets.
Katara is also grappling with the confusion of befriending an enemy, something that doesn’t prove as difficult as she had expected with the bond of shared, furious grief bridging old wounds. (Learning a new way to look at her bending doesn't hurt either)
Azula, struggling with the Fire Lord’s mistrust, encounters a few nasty surprises and has to make some difficult decisions. Luckily, she is a great deal better at making sensible choices than her brother.
Her father may have made a slight tactical error.

Summary
Zuko gets hurt during training but insists that he's fine. However, the new angle of his nose - and the honestly impressive amount of blood streaming from it - tell a very different story. So when he runs off, refusing Katara's help, it's Sokka who follows. Because Sokka and Zuko talk sometimes. And Sokka gets a fuzzy feeling in his stomach when they're alone sometimes. So, since they're somewhat close, it stands to reason that he can change his mind somehow.
When Zuko actually opens up to him, Sokka is trapped between the fuzzy feeling of being trusted and the nausea of cold hard realization - because Zuko's refusal to get his nose fixed has everything to do with the mysterious scar covering a third of his face.
