Summary
The pitch is—bad.
It's stupid and annoying and the worst thing is that she can see why it might be compelling. MLH has been playing up Shane and Rozanov's rivalry for eight years because they're increasingly exceptional players, and it's still a marketable rivalry.
Which irritates her because the rivalry isn't doing anything for Shane's brand at this point, and she's been working for years with Shane's publicist to try to shift the narrative. This year's All-Star Game had seemed like the exact thing to start shifting the needle, but every time she brings Rozanov up to Shane, he deflects in a way that makes it clear that he really does genuinely dislike the man. Which is a shame, because maybe if Hannah had been able to seed some pieces about their rivalry turning into something more like mutual respect, this goddamned porn movie about her son wouldn't be on her desk.
Yuna deals with a PR nightmare.
