“Really?” The Admiral says in a tone of unabashed curiosity.
“I can assure you, ma’am, we are not doing this for recreational purposes.” Spock says dryly.

Luckily, that crisis is averted. Unluckily, Jim and Spock realize they have been left unable to go without touching for more than a few minutes without excruciating pain. “Alright,” Jim said to his crew, as he bolted the door shut from any more unwanted visitors. “True love’s kiss was a bust. What’s our next idea?” He said, beginning to pace.
“Maybe we shouldn't throw out the whole idea.'' McCoy pondered.
“Excuse me?” Jim questioned him, stopping dead in his tracks.
“Well I’m just thinkin’, maybe if the princess’s true love isn’t the prince, maybe it’s someone else. Maybe, I don’t know, a knight or something?” He continued, giving Jim a pointed look at this last thought.
