Summary
Deleted scene from episode 3x09 "Thirty"
“Thank you, Theo.” She's grateful he can't hear how thick her voice is. She doesn’t know how to sign "This is one of the nicest things anyone has ever done for me". So, she doesn’t. She lets Theo step away to light the candle and sign the happy birthday song to her, and she pretends the blush is because that song is awkward no matter what format it is in, and not because his attention is wholly on her.
She blows out the candle and makes a second wish, since her first one came true and she’s feeling greedy. The universe owes her a few, anyway.

Summary
Charles was an observant and analytical fellow. Or at least he told himself that, and given his position on a true crime podcast, it was hard to argue against such a conclusion.
It was armed with these skills that he noticed some changes in Mabel. And as a good friend he certainly made note.

Summary
Mabel knows she and Theo have no business being friends. There's too much history and too much pain between them.
So why can't she stop texting him? And why does he keep answering?
"Theo didn’t have any business sending her another message after that. He definitely shouldn’t have typed “I have a feeling your coat won’t look as good on me as mine did on you.” and then quickly hit backspace. That was not what you said to someone who once accused you of murder. Someone who you had kidnapped. She had sent him a normal text. He could do this. He could text her like a normal, functioning adult who hadn’t spent all of Tuesday staring at her lips. "
