Hyunjin swallows. He opens his mouth.
He closes it again, and watches Changbin's face start to fall.
I love you, Hyunjin thinks. It's right there, on the tip of his tongue. He's said it a thousand times before, so why is it so hard this time?

or: Long-distance relationships are hard. Changbin likes to think he’s good at ignoring this fact, only ignoring the problem means ignoring why it’s a problem in the first place. Seungmin is definitely not helping things, and he’s not even here.

Seungmin first meets Hwang Hyunjin on a muggy August day in 2009.
The first thing Seungmin notices is Hyunjin's beauty. There is a charming mole under his left eye like an angel's kiss, and his lips are plush and inviting. If Seungmin didn't already know that he was interested in men, Hyunjin would have been the final proof. The second thing Seungmin notices is that he feels drawn to Hyunjin like a moth to the flame, feels compelled to indulge his every wish. Seungmin wonders if Hyunjin, too, has powers. The third thing Seungmin notices is the warm, intense glow of Hyunjin's romantic yearning towards Minho versus the muted, subdued haze of Minho's platonic affection towards Hyunjin.

After wishing on a star, Jisung develops the bizarre ability to see "lust gauges" of the people around him, displaying the current arousal levels of their owners. As if that weren't strange enough, his best friend Minho's gauge is always filled to the brim despite him being one of the most calm and collected people Jisung knows. Is something wrong with his new power, or is Minho seriously that horny?
Jisung figures he should take matters into his own hands―literally―before Minho's unhinged lust becomes a serious problem. Other problems arise, like worrying over Minho so much he has no time to use his new power to score himself a girlfriend.
That, and the complicated feelings that inevitably come with the territory of sleeping with his best friend.

Minho, without missing a beat, slings his arms on Jisung’s shoulder, pulling him closer. He looks up at Minho, not expecting the action, feeling the heat creep up his neck. “We’ve been together for almost 3 years now.” Minho looks at Jisung with a fond smile. “Up to this day, I don’t know how I managed to stand him and his temper.” He ruffles Jisung's hair and boops his nose after for an added emphasis.
Jisung gives him a (pretentious) pout and puffs his cheeks out to act cute for Minho. He ignores the heat on his cheeks and the stare of the lady in front of them. “Great!” she speaks again. “You can browse through the menu and just present it to the cashier for discounts. I hope you stay strong.”
