Summary
Veritas Ratio doesn’t often go to bars, and it's been quite some time since he has been pursued so… aggressively, to the point of bordering on harassment.
His brows knit together, determined to turn this strange man down, “I’m fine paying for my own meal, thank you.”
The stranger hums, pretending to think about Veritas’ words for a moment as he swirls the beer bottle in his hand, “Well, no I don’t think I'll be doing that. I prefer to pay on the first date,” he says smoothly then sends Veritas an over the top wink.
Aeons— is this really happening to him?

Summary
It's that time of the year. Mariah Carrey has defrosted weeks ago and the holidays have been in full swing. There is snow on the ground, the season of giving is in the air, and god damn it you might as well just order pizza tonight.
... you don't expect for that innocent act of ordering a pizza to take a twisted turn.

Summary
The week has been eventful in and outside of the house— new construction projects for Kaveh, the anniversary of Al Haitham’s grandmother’s passing, on top of that an unbearable heat wave— There is nothing particularly special about this day, but perhaps it’s Kaveh’s exhaustion coupled with Al Haitham’s melancholic mood that sets the stage for them to share a moment of quiet time together.

Summary
“You may,” Aventurine starts, voice quiet because Ratio will always listen to him, and he sees Ratio’s eyes start to light up with excitement. Silly boy. He just wants to be told what to do. “-Take off my socks.”
Ratio doesn’t say anything. He doesn’t need to. When he’s like this, there’s never any doubts that he didn’t hear or will not do what Aventurine says.
Aventurine very much likes Ratio below him.

Summary
Aventurine couldn't help but feel a bit ridiculous. There he was, standing outside the door of the man he had practically raced to see and, yet, when confronted with the act of announcing his presence he was suddenly struggling. His eyes slid down to his hand, noting the way his fingers trembled slightly, and felt his lips curve in a rueful smile. It made sense, he supposed, after everything, but he hated that it was still difficult to have faith, to trust. Were it any other situation with any other person he wouldn't have faltered, not with the odds so heavily stacked in his favor. However the truth was that his unease was linked directly to the fact that, somehow, he'd allowed Veritas to become important.
Reeling from the whirlwind of emotions caused by Penacony, both romantic and not, Aventurine finds himself on Dr. Ratio's doorstep, yearning for something he's not sure he deserves.

Summary
“You were late for our little… get-together,” Aventurine points out, strolling into Ratio’s office. He closes the door with his foot, hands tucked in his pockets. His gaze flickers to the wall-mounted clock. A look at the time on his devices tells him he’s late by an hour, and he leans back in his chair with a sigh. "Since you didn’t show up… I thought, why don’t I bring the party to you? Ahaha, metaphorically, of course. It’s just you and me, and you know, I’ve had such a long day…”
It takes no genius to figure out what Aventurine is getting at, thus Ratio easily picks up on it.
“Intercourse,” he mutters, shaking his head. “You came here with the intent to have intercourse. In my office.”

Summary
The distance between them is only making the tension simmer hotter. Aventurine fumbles any ball that comes his way, too focused on glimpses of Ratio. Ratio fouls for the first time when he’s up to bat, and his pitches are getting sloppier and sloppier. He’s not looking at Aventurine, but his mind is clearly not on baseball anymore.
When the sixth inning ends, they meet in the middle of the diamond. Aventurine is a lot dirtier now, covered in grass stains. He’s sweating hard enough that his hair is limp and damp. Ratio isn’t fairing much better. They push their bodies together, heedless of the dirt, all but rubbing on each other like cats now. Ratio’s knuckles press firmly on Aventurine’s sweaty chest when he hands the bat over, hand curled around it unnecessarily. Direct contact. Aventurine shudders. So does Ratio.
The IPC and The Intelligentsia Guild play their annual, 'friendly' game of baseball, and Ratio and Aventurine subject everyone to the worst flirting of this Amber Era.
