If it had been up to him, though, Dan Heng would never even have known about what Oronyx had told him during his trial. Caelus would have fed him some vague excuse about needing to go to Styxia with Castorice, fixed things, and then come back to his friend as if it all had been a pleasant journey and not a dangerous walk back from the land of the dead. What Dan Heng didn’t know couldn’t have hurt him, and Caelus wouldn’t have had to see him in pain.
