Summary
"He's gone. We're free."
Beth had genuinely meant it when she had talked to the girls. With Rio out of the picture, for good, she had thought things would get easier.
She had tried not to think about the image of him lying on the floor, choking on blood as he was desperately seeking for air. She had convinced herself that it was the best solution for everyone. Well except for him obviously, but she chose to focus on her feelings and her well-being and not his.

Summary
It’s no good. The combined strength of an eleven-year-old boy and whatever her weekly Pilates class and lugging Emma around has given her aren’t enough. They’ve been trying to reassemble the portable wading pool for the last hour – a family-sized vinyl thing with a plastic exterior frame, and they’d gotten most of it done before she was struck with the stark memory of Dean falling over one of the sides last summer and bending a part of said plastic frame out of shape.
Or it's hot, Beth puts together a pool, Rio teaches, and it's business as usual.
Mild spoilers for 2x02 and a little bit of speculation for the rest of the season based on the trailer.

Summary
“You got to rush back to that big ol’ house and all those babies, darlin’?”
Beth blinks, bites her lip, can feel that hot, tight sensation in her belly grow, and she shakes her head, watching as his grin widens, his jaw rock, and then he’s up on his feet again, too close to her, and then past her, striding quickly back through the club, and Beth almost has to jog to match his pace.

Beth and Rio snark and sex in a club bathroom. This is complete and total PWP. Their chemistry has unravelled me.

Summary
“Guess we get to play nurse after all,” he says, voice low and loaded, and nobody should still be able to leer with a 103 degree fever, but Rio somehow manages it.
“If only I’d remembered my costume,” she replies dryly, and Rio laughs, soft and deep.
“Don’t worry, ma, I got a vivid imagination.”
-
Or Rio's sick. Set almost immediately after 2.06. Featuring a lot of snark, shoulder massages, non-sexual touching followed by very sexual touching, and Rio in a Boland Motors t-shirt.

Summary
“Oh, it’s normal, sweetheart,” he says, practically glowing from his pedestal. “You know, you do a job so long, you make some bad habits, you forget the rules. It’s okay. I figure we use tonight as an opportunity to go back over the company manual, get you ladies refamiliarized with the Code of Conduct, management expectations and what not.”
And it takes Beth a moment to find her words, to temper all the ways she’s suddenly running red hot, her body tall and rigid and furious, because no, that’s not what that is, he doesn’t get to - - she blinks, hard, exhaling.
“We don’t need to be supervised,” she says, and Rio raises both eyebrows at her, pushing himself, just slightly, off the car.
-
Set after 2.07. A drop goes wrong, Beth gets hurt, and Rio is Rio.
Featuring! A lot of yelling! Snark! Angst! Annie trying to figure out what Rio and Beth are! Canon-typical terrible communication! Sex instead of communication! And lowkey, highkey feelings.
