In all fairness— Seokmin placed the call when he was way too wine-drunk to remember his own name. And, he doesn’t remember much of it, but he remembers Mingyu saying, “Yeah, I know who you are—” and also, “Sounds fun.” Which is enough information for Seokmin to determine that Mingyu must be a sociopath or something else equally unsavory.
Seriously, what kind of freak agrees to attend their ex-boyfriend’s wedding with the ex-boyfriend of their ex-boyfriend’s new boyfriend? It’s borderline criminal.
(OR: Seokmin is totally over Joshua, so he asks Joshua's fiance's ex-boyfriend to be his pretend boyfriend to prove it. It just makes sense.)

Minghao untwists the polish and places an outstretched hand on the floor, silver rings glinting. Soonyoung blinks.
It’s just that. Well. Minghao’s fingers are really long. Soonyoung’s probably always been unconsciously aware of this, but it hits him harder now, washing over him in the late hour. Minghao begins painting and Soonyoung watches intently, mesmerized by the smooth roll of his wrist, the distinct line of his tendon flexing.
When he finishes his pinky, Soonyoung sighs out loud.
“You have pretty hands.”

Summary
The thing is, Mingyu usually wouldn’t mind finding out his two best friends have started… doing whatever it is they’re doing. He’s happy for them, of course, because he loves them both and he wants them to be happy.
But it’s been three weeks since he got dumped and he’s not quite over the worst of it yet and whatever Minghao and Seokmin are doing they’re obviously trying to keep it a secret from him.
