so naturally, sunoo took it upon himself to plague his poor boyfriend's mind.
“…what if next time i actually peg you?”
at first, he thought sunghoon hadn’t heard him. his thumb paused mid-scroll, hovering over the phone screen, but his face stayed neutral. then he blinked once. twice. slowly turned his head, as if making sure he hadn’t misheard.
“…huh?”

sunghoon gets pegged stupid, sunoo discovers new levels of terrorizing his poor darling boyfriend, and together they reach peak annoyingly in love and also so down bad it’s medically concerning.

But the days pass, and some of them are better. On the days he can get out of bed. On the days he trails after Nico to the sword-fighting lessons he teaches, watches him correct twelve-year-olds’ stances and encourage eight-year-olds who either look far too excited to be holding a dangerous weapon, or about five seconds away from a meltdown. On the days when sometimes, Nico will say something funny over breakfast, and Percy will crack a small smile in answer.
He still thinks about her, far more often than not. He can’t walk past the canoe lake, can’t make eye contact with any of her siblings without feeling like this impossible weight is pressing down on him, like Atticus has suddenly sloughed off the sky back onto his shoulders. And he can’t close his eyes without seeing her own sad gray eyes looking back at him as she lets him go; and he can’t close his eyes without wondering what it might be like to never open them again.
But it’s a process, Nico says. And really, he supposes Nico really would know best.

When Jake jokes about tying him up in the van, Sunghoon surprises them both.
And Jake, of course, notices everything.

Summary
They had a competitive streak. They both liked to win. Jay sometimes, kind of, sorta wants to kiss him about it.
And Jake had looked at Sunghoon this morning and said you’re all mine, but it hadn’t felt like he was saying it to Sunghoon at all. It felt like he was speaking to Jay directly, like what he was really saying was something more like – try and take him from me.
And he knows that one unfinished bathroom encounter does not hold a candle to three years of learning each other inside and out, but he finds himself wishing it did.
or, where Jay reasonably assumes that hooking up with Sunghoon will only involve the two of them, but underestimates just how much Jake hates being left out.
