Summary
His relationship with Jake had gotten so bad that, sometimes, Lo'ak couldn’t even remember his childhood…
He couldn’t remember the times he used to play with Neteyam, Kiri, and Jake, how they'd run around the jungle, chasing each other. Kiri always talked about it to keep the memory of Neteyam alive, but Lo‘ak couldn’t remember.
It was as if his brain refused to think about the good times so that Lo'ak wouldn't be hurt any further by Jake's actions. Because as soon as the war started, Jake changed.
He became the Marine he had been. Lo‘ak and Neteyam were instructed to call him Sir; suddenly, his soldiers, no longer his sons.
Ridiculous if you asked Lo‘ak, but Jake became his and Neteyam's Commanding Officer. If they didn’t listen to him, they weren’t allowed out.
Stupid, but that was how Jake was…
or, lo’ak’s and jake‘s relationship is more than broken. so, jake has to finally do something to fix it

Summary
With heavy steps, Lo'ak made his way toward the entrance of the Mauri. He threw one last look at it, heart beating in his chest. Then he left.
Zäik eagerly awaited him already, screeching when Lo'ak mounted him. "Easy," he muttered, adjusting his gear and harness. He pulled a shawl over his head, the fabric sitting heavily on his shoulders. It would be a long flight, and the night wasn't known to be warm. He had to be prepared.
Once he was sure he had gotten everything, he took one last deep breath. "Let's go, boy," he urged softly, hands gripping his leather harness. "We got a long journey ahead of us…"
Immediately, Zäik launched himself into the air, wings flapping. Lo'ak held on tight, stomach turning at what he was about to do. But he had to do it. Who knew what the RDA was doing to his dad? He had to save him. He just hoped he wouldn't be too late.
or, lo'ak is the one who saves jake from the RDA, not neytiri

Cato sighs and twists his mouth. “Your parents offered me your hand in marriage,” he cuts it short.
Your eyes widen and your jaw falls slack. “Excuse me? Have I heard that correct–”
“You have,” Cato says. “They offered and…I said yes.” He slowly walks closer to you while you start to shake your head. This couldn’t–this couldn’t be true. Why would your parents do something like that? “I know it’s a shock,” his voice is calm as he talks to you and you raise your hand to signal him to stop.

Summary
kiantu [ki.ˈan.tu] (noun): a blameworthy person
In a way, Lo’ak feels relieved. His dad finally spoke the words he’s been waiting to hear since Neteyam bled out on a rock while war raged around them. He finally spoke the truth. It was Lo’ak’s fault that Neteyam died and his father has finally admitted it.
OR, Jake is the one who finds Lo'ak on the beach during THAT scene.

Summary
Jake’s eyes are guarded, though it’s long become a typical sight. Lo’ak knows his father is a marine most of all, traversing through life with more vigilance than a thanator, carefully observing for any sign of danger.
Am I still a danger, dad?

Summary
“I have to kill him.”
The words landed between them like a dropped blade.
Neytiri stilled. Slowly, deliberately, she turned to face him, golden eyes sharp with exhaustion and something like disbelief. “You will not say this.”
Jake didn’t raise his voice. Didn’t look away. “If I don’t, the Sky People will never stop.”
Aka: THAT scene from the movie and the aftermath of it if they had had a little more time to stew.
