    Summary

    DEAD DOVE: Do Not Eat

Viktor needs relief. Silco needs leverage. Jayce won’t slow down to even see what's going on right beneath his feet. And the longer Viktor stays, the more he begins to understand that survival isn’t about learning which parts of yourself you can sacrifice.

(AKA Silco grooms Viktor with shimmer and capitalizes when the opportunity presents itself. Oh nooo Jayce how are you going to save him!)

    --

Some days, Viktor wonders what it might feel like to live peacefully blissed out on existence, free of coherent thought, of the awareness of his own body’s betrayal, his lungs’ collapse like an ecosystem without its vital function, what it might feel like to lay on his back staring blankly at the ceiling, caring and not caring as interchangeable as not breathing. But it was very hard not to care.

“Nonsense. Our mutual friend has made me quite clear on the details of your situation, Viktor. Such a shame that even now Piltover continues to leave such a mark on the sharpest minds of our land. They take and take and take from us— You’re not wrong for wanting help, Viktor. For needing help. What this represents is a tool, not a crutch. Do you understand?”

    Summary

Winter is always hard in piltover. Winter is always hard on Viktor’s body. And the seasonal flu did not take pity on Viktor this time, despite his vulnerable state, and Jayce’s prayers, just like every year around the holidays, Viktor came down with a cold.

Between the blur of morning sickness and the growing pains of pregnancy, the subtle symptoms of the seasonal flu started showing on Viktor.

Or, Pregnant Viktor comes down with a bad cold. His weak immune system and health anxiety makes things seem a lot worse than they actually are.

His fever dreams make him think of his time back in Zaun - more than that, his fever dreams make him remember his late mother.

    Summary

“I’m sorry” Jayce says with the callous tone of someone who is not very sorry “But why would you need, and I quote, a secured spot and a full paid scholarship at the Academy? You’ve graduated more than three decades ago, and I thought you hated it”

Oh, that. It seems like Jayce reached the end of the list.

“I do” He confirms, trying to stay very still.

“So what, now you want like a midlife crisis degree?”

“A midlife crisis degree is not a thing” He points out “And I don’t need the spot for myself”

“Then who is it for? I kind of need to know if you want me to do something about this one”

“It is for my daughter” Viktor says, in a way so casual that can only come from years of practice.

“It is for your- your daughter?”
    ...

In this one the hexcore gets out of hand and turns people into zombies. Our heroes solve the problem, except they don't actually solve anything, and the problem comes back after seventeen years of fighting, bitterness, and a teenage daughter Jayce didn't know he had.
