Summary
An AU retelling of the lives of the Awakening children in which the fall of Lucina forces Inigo to take up Falchion and lead the children back into the past in her stead. Plenty of angst, lots of family themes, rarepairs galore, and a great deal of Inigo and Owain roasting each other. Starts in a modified Future Past timeline, returns to the main tale of Awakening, and continues on to Fates and beyond. To eventually contain two main stories covering the retellings of the two games along with various smaller fics, planned to range from pre-Awakening to decades post-Fates. Every title is taken from a song. (Arranged via in-universe chronology.)

Bdubs pauses, and Etho sees that flash across his eyes; something like embarrassment. Flushed on his face. “Well—Yeah, mostly. I mean, I figure — I don’t wanna rush you or nothin’, and then after a couple years I guessed you probably weren’t interested but you never told me to clear off so that’s just us, then, the flirting. The joking around about you being my wife, my boyfriend, the divorces and what have you.”
“Right,” Etho says.
“And it didn’t mean nothin’, ‘cept the two of us being us.”
Etho pauses. He looks up at the ceiling — not quite able to meet Bdubs eyes — and twirls a strand of dark curls around his finger. “I mean, I think that meant something. Since it was us.”
