“May I ask whether you’re actually qualified to step in as Chief Edgeworth’s personal lackey?” Nahyuta’s voice rang sneeringly amused across the padded hull of the car. “In all honesty, I didn’t expect you to turn up at the airport so earnestly.”
“Don’t get me wrong, Sad Monk,” Simon hit the brakes, coming to a halt. “My salary is at stake here.”
A snicker, chin rested up on his tattooed palm, gilded earrings catching the slanted lightsome of the suburban branches of the city unfurling in their wake. It felt nothing short of a sin admitting how gracefully Nahyuta’s presence swathed the forlorn husk of his car with a heart-clenching twist, how his laid-back silhouette reminded him of a purgatorial angel grazing the earth’s soil only to chasten him with the sole touch of his hand.
After three months of not seeing each other, Nahyuta Sahdmadhi and Simon Blackquill wonder what to make of their love a thousand miles apart.

Summary
Nahyuta is always in constant motion, whether that be physically by international flight or metaphorically by their psyche in the aftermath of Ga’ran’s reign. Habits die hard. Though for once, it would be nice to simply be still, just like the monks back at the temple. Nahyuta's always been more of a preacher than an activist, they suppose.
Simon has been stuck for as long as he can remember. Physically, in his prison cell, or psychologically, cowering in the comfort of what he’s always known, what’s safe. Emotions are fickle, though he’s learned recently that they’re a lot more powerful, and in good ways too. He’s no longer in prison, hasn’t been in almost two years now. It’s hard to move on, but he’s trying. Really.
