Summary
The ISS Enterprise was perilous for a half-Vulcan.
The tenuous peace treaty between Vulcan and the Empire gave Spock his position as Lieutenant Commander of the Enterprise, but afforded him no protection beyond his own shrewdness. After years of service as a pawn in the Empire's game, his stumbling across one of Pike's concubines shreds his valued control in mere seconds, and begs the question - why did Pike leave him alive? How did James Kirk acquire his fearlessness and can he be utilised to facilitate the rebellion?

Summary
The life-entity transference of "Turnabout Intruder" is not broken. James Kirk struggles with his new life as a woman as Spock struggles to break the transference and return Kirk to his rightful body.
While Kirk fights to keep his command and must deal with the ramifications of his new sexuality, Spock's quest to discover the function of the transference machine in order to break its hold on the captain compels him into a moral dilemma of secrecy and emotional peril. Lester and Coleman figure prominently, and if you're a fan of the good doctor, "Bones" McCoy--at his best--serves as both advisor and antagonist.
This "What if?" K/S story is canon divergent only at the beginning, but the rest of the novel is canon.
For Killa, who set Jim early on the right path; for Eileen, who helped smooth out the bumps; and for Kathy, who verified my choices, some good, some not so good. Kept the good ones, fixed what I could.
