Summary
The war is over but everyone who survived is left with scars. Hermione has been appointed to the role of Head Girl for their optional eighth year at Hogwarts. While struggling to come to terms with the immense trauma she’s lived through, she finds herself in shared quarters with her Head Boy partner, Theodore Nott. In an unexpected turn of events, Hermione is comforted by the Slytherin who is surprisingly adept at handling her persistent panic attacks. The presence of Draco Malfoy in her life becomes synonymous with Theo Nott as the two seem to be a packaged deal. As life unfolds she finds that Malfoy no longer holds the malice he once did towards her. The three of them find themselves in a unique position as they find common ground in both trauma and healing.

8 years after the death of Voldemort at the Battle of Hogwarts, Shacklebolt is dead and John Dawlish has become Minister of Magic. All was well until the Daily Prophet began a fear campaign around another dark magic uprising. With Wiggenweld also becoming exceptionally hard to come by, Peace and Order were the most prominent words being thrown around magical Britain. I come in peace, even if hearing from me in this way brings you anything but. Your late wife has named me as one of your son’s guardians, as I am sure you are already aware. I’d express my condolences for your loss, but Theo has heavily suggested to me that your marriage with Astoria was not one based in either love or respect. I shall instead express my sadness that your son will not get the chance to know his mother. I am sorry.
