Summary
When Swordfather meets Ringo and learns of his connection to Mizu and his motivation for following her, he is immediately reminded of the naivety Mizu showed as a young child. Ringo pokes and prods for him about information about Mizu, and Swordfather relents, telling a story about the first—and last—time Mizu sought companionship with the other children of Kohama village. It serves as both a reminder to Swordfather for how much Mizu has changed, and a warning for Ringo to not go down the same bloody path.

A breeze blows past them, and an object inside the stranger’s cloak clinks. A weapon? Their gazes lock together and Ishmael falters. Light blue, but more importantly the same pupils that she had seen just hours before.
Ishamel, having narrowly escaped death, lies in a forest. She recollects her memory of her plan to free the vampire prisoners being tortured, being caught by guards, the fight that ensues, and her turning by a mysterious being. A familiar face comes to her aid; though she only serves to fuel her obsession with revenge.

Summary
Edelgard goes around the monastery helping her black eagles prepare for Saint Seiros by decorating and preparing presents and unknowingly goes on a scavenger hunt that her classmates planned for her, leading her into a festive party. Her classmates get her to open up over food and gifts and Edelgard goes to sleep the most content she has been since entering the monastery.
