Summary
Almost as long as there have been humans and dragons there have been those who can wield Magick. A gift from the Gods that came with Soulmarks that named a person for you. For a time man and dragon lived in harmony where those who bonded with them. Then they weren't no one in living memory knew what changed or why. Magick became a taboo and it was a death sentence to use it. Dragons were hunted like beasts and no longer trusted the humans they once called partners.
Berk in the last few generations have began to reject many things that were once called gifts from the gods. Stoick refuses to accept soulmates as anything than a curse and he passes down the views to his people. While he doesn't allow the use of Magick within the tribe he does use it to name heirs. To be a potential future Chief, one must be able to use High Magick. When Hiccup goes for Dragon Training he is given the test. He cannot use High Magick. It accelerates his plans to leave. Otherwise he knows he won't survive.

Summary
Harry in his early thirties and his teenage son Teddy move to Beacon Hills in search of some damned peace and quiet. They did not find any damned peace and quiet.
In which: The author thought, "what would a story look like if it used the canonical timeline years?" Sprinkle in some of my favorite tropes like "Punk Teddy Lupin" and magicals going to muggle school, along with whatever flowed out of my brain, and you get whatever the heck this is.

Summary
Her son’s soulmark, the one held closest to his heart, had a soft, golden glow peeking out from underneath the medical bandages. The glow seemed to become brighter, though not overpowering. Soft, comforting light. It reminded her of the sun, in a way.
As her eyes adjusted, she found she couldn’t have been more right.
Over her son’s heart spells the name Apollo, in gold cursive. The font shimmered, almost glittering as her son shifted on the bed. Every stroke of every letter seems purposeful, carefully branding her son. Out from behind the name is the image of a sun. A lyre is also depicted, and if Sally pays close enough attention, the strings seem to move slightly, as though someone is playing it.
