She doesn’t know what she was thinking. No, that’s not true, she knows. She was fueled by the rush of passing her driving exam, thinking that she’d show up to her cool girlfriend’s balcony to whisk her away in the middle of the night, acting like an equally cool and suave playboy. Luz the playboy. No stretch of the imagination could make that believable, no matter how much Amity likes her.
or; luz takes amity out for a midnight joy ride and kisses her under the moonlight, fulfilling like 4 of her cheesy romance tropes bucket list items in one go. (about a year and a half post-canon)

Then Luz pads over to Amity, who’s sat on her own mattress, smiling encouragingly at her. Luz sits down on her bed, and she actually feels alright.
Amity raises her hand, and the ball of light dims. A jolt of electricity strikes her stomach. She’s fine.
"Luz?” Of course, Amity can see through her. Her girlfriend reaches out and Luz takes her hand. There’s another question in her eyes, and they ache so gently for Luz, that whatever walls she was planning on raising are preemptively knocked to the ground.
“Maybe we could keep the light on for a little while?”
OR: Luz is hurting, she can't sleep at night, and she certainly won't ask for help. You know there is no way that will stop the girls from being there for her. A story of tough love, gay thoughts, and of course, the power of friendship.
