Summary
As Alicia entered the Canvas and was dragged into its pre-existing world, Aline took great care to shape the people around her daughter to provide her with a sense of safety, if not familiarity.
During that process, a forgotten fragment, ecstatic at the chance to get to see his sister again, adds his own piece to the story. One he can connect himself to and see his sister with at any time.
As such, Gustave is painted entwined with the leftovers of Verso's soul.
