Summary
Luigi stumbled upon a pair of magical earrings that allow him to turn into a woman whenever he puts them on. He's enjoying his time as Lucy when Peach gives him the mission to set up communications with a newly discovered Koopa Island. Only for him to be kidnapped and forced to be their queen.
Bowser has been over Peach for years, but finds himself interested in someone new, Princess Lucy. He was in Sarasaland to discuss peace talks, she was hanging out with her friend Daisy. Who ushered him out far too quickly after introductions. It was for the best though, as Lucy left for her home kingdom, never to return.
That is, until years later, when the Koopa Queen of the Perseann Islands visits his lands talk to the king into an agreement of some kind, I haven't decided what it'll be yet lol, Bowser realizes this is the woman he saw all those years ago. Will they fall in love? Who knowwwwwws!

Summary
Luigi has a teeny weeny small breakdown in his senior year, tired of all the comparisons to Mario. In a fit of teenage angst, he takes all his money and reinvents himself in order to further himself from any comparison.
Enraged at his family's response and their mention of Mario, Luigi takes off to get some space. Instead of clearing his head of his troubles, he ends up in a new, confusing place without any memories at all. With no clue what or who he's looking for, Luigi takes the help of the handsome prince who appears when he needs it.
Or: the alternate first meeting au where they're all irresponsible teens longing for adventure and a sense of belonging and Luigi might trust (and perhaps like) this cute prince just a bit too much (it's okay, Bowser trusts (and likes) Luigi a bit too much too)
Give them a break, they're just teens!
Also, Kamek is tired of them and wants Bowser to be responsible
