    365 days until the prophecy was fulfilled. Then, the king of Fontaine would lose his sovereign authority, passing it to his son, Prince Neuvillette. With the prophecy came a challenge proposed by the king... a tradition among the sovereigns. Whoever could wield the ancient sovereign king Scylla's pole arm would be able to become the prince's mate and rule with him.

    But Neuvillette wanted none of it. He yearned for freedom, to be floating among the sea and simply be himself. Not a ruler, not a diplomat, not king Azureous. Simply... Neuvillette.

    Unable to control the urge to escape his fate, he sneaks out of the castle late one night and finds himself in the lower court of Fontaine. The warmth drew him in. Here he felt safe, even in disguise. In a hole in the wall tavern, he meets a handsome rugged man introduced to him as Wriothesley. The prince isn't sure how or why... maybe something in those chilly blue eyes or his lopsided grin, but this man becomes all Neuvillette can think about. Like he is the catalyst to a life he can only dream of having.

    The lower court of Fontaine holds many secrets. They hold wisdom, dreams and can push a man to do the most unbelievable things.
