The last punch breaks its nose with an unpleasant snap. It grunts and bucks under me, before going limp again. Its fingers spasm in their death grip on my hips, right along the augment seam, and I. Don't know what to think about that.
I pant harshly, fingers still fisted in its collar, and my other hand planted firmly beside its head. I'm waiting for it to do something, anything, in retaliation. I'm just waiting for it to fight back.
The only thing it does is let its face split in a slow grin. It lets out a low, wheezing chuckle. "I hope it is."__

For a second I catch myself thinking about what all I can’t see, even on a clear day, under the surface. Of course, there’s things like fish and rocks and mud, maybe a shipwreck if we’re being generous, but I couldn’t for sure see any of it. Who knows what else might be down there?
After all, there is a lot of water beneath me.
I'm still chewing on that thought when I spot it: A smooth, snakelike appendage, slithering over the edge of my ship and onto the faux-wood of the deck.
Fitting, huh? Yeah.
That boating license was a great choice. -

Summary
Let’s start with the good part.
I accidentally helped Three (who was also helped by Ratthi and Bharadwaj) invent trauma recovery modules for murderbots. ART unhelped at first, but then it helped. I keep saying help too much but I’m not fucking changing it again, it’s been two hours. Anyways.
The bad part is everything else that had to happen first. Sane people shouldn’t get anywhere near a SecUnit’s worst memories, which is what we did so you don’t have to. Though I guess if you need the modules, you do have to. That’s kind of the point.Well, don’t worry about all the atrocities. There’s no way yours can be worse than mine.
