(Dramatic Irony— lurien thinks this will be the worse week of his life. It is, in a way, but not in the tragedy he expected it to be.)
Watcher Lurien is tasked with an impossible mission; keep Princess Hornet and the Pure Vessel contained and alive for a week. Baby sitting, to put politely, should be a duty underneath him as he labors in preperation for the great Dream. But here he is, two small children saddled to him, filled with whimsy and chaotic energy.
Within the first day, Watcher Lurien has almost lost the vessel, promised to buy Hornet a blade, accidentally agreed to patron a pleasure house singer, and put his best worker on leave.
(It only goes downhill from there.)
((Also known as local political magistrate bonding with two children, learning about the true tragedy of Omelas, and house fires.))

Velociraptors but they have their own culture and civilization while living next to humans? Where the scifi dragons are just as fleshed out as the humans??? Yes. YES.
(Got embroiled with this series when I read “the first dinosaur detective is here to solve a murder and then go home to his adopted human kid and platonic human life partner”, and then got Incredibly Distracted by “human and velociraptor saves local town from a cartel started wildfire”. This series is great.)

The crew draw horribly funny conclusions based on context clues.
(Ngl, I would very much read an original story with the Amnesia crew. Fangs and Orchid are half siblings on a quest to resolve the vampirism and figure out how religion works, and everybody makes fun of their names. There’s a gith named after a dragon who’s There For Some Reason but Kicking Ass. There’s two run away demons, one who’s constantly on fire and the other made of weird magic (wait okay, that’s just them. That’s just Karlach and Wyll). And one confused shapeshifter that accidentally impersonated an archmage, and is being much more emotionally healthy about it.
Man I care for them.
