Summary
Four months after joining the Shinsengumi, Gintoki is still dealing with what he's been through. Sadly, Hijikata isn't quite aware of the full picture.
Basically: Gintoki struggles quietly with trauma and self-destructive tendancies whilst Hijikata deals with Feelings™. Goes about as well as you would expect.

Barely one week into the Shinsengumi's formation, they organise a raid on Katsura and Takasugi's base of operations. They've teamed up, mysteriously, and somehow Hijikata gets stuck in the middle of their post-war drama and three-way silent treatments.
