A white banner was stretched out from one side of the wall to the other; "DIVORCE PARTY". Blood red balloons dangled in the corners. There was a miserable pile of confetti on the floor. Trashy, bronze coloured tinsel that Qieluo had seen on sale last week for 70% off was hung on the other wall.
Zetian slowly slid back in her chair. Her lips pressed into a thin, bored line. "This was a lot more fun in my head," she said flatly. She picked up a wine glass from next to her feet that Qieluo hadn’t seen earlier and chugged it fast enough to mildly scare her . "Oh well."

But when Shimin had described his werewolf form, he had always made it sound like he was some salivating creature that attacked anything in sight. The Shimin before them was big, but anything scary ended there. He had thick black fur, enormous and pretty eyes, and the most boopable snout Zetian had ever seen. His mouth hung open as he panted and his ears flopped against his head.
"...This is what Shimin is scared of?" Zetian said aloud.
Yizhi reached out to stroke him and Shimin wagged his tail excitedly, worming his way into Yizhi's lap. "Who's a good boy?"

He doesn't recognize the number, but Bo-Katan had said her contact would be in touch, though this is earlier than expected. By the time he's finished reading it, Bo-Katan is messaging him as well, a quick string of short messages that come in one after another.
Bo-Katan says, "Call me first," and "Call me now," and "This is extremely important," and "I pulled a lot of strings for this and you cannot afford to blow this off," and "Djarin, if you even think of trying to escape, I will track you down and stab you at least five times, I karking well mean it."
