Summary
Regulus had a secret. One that he wasn’t allowed to tell anyone, one that was so damning that should anyone find out it would ruin his whole life. A secret that was so important that it would not only ruin his life, but quite possibly get him killed. One would think that in a situation like that, you would try to do everything in your power to get rid of whatever that secret was about.
Except he couldn’t. No matter how big the secret was, how much danger it put him in, he could never find it in himself to find a way to stop it.
What you may ask was that secret that was so precious to him that he was putting his life at risk? Well, it’s simple, really.
Regulus was hopelessly and irrevocably in love with James Potter.

Summary
Regulus kisses the opposite of how he looks, how he stands, walks, breathes, speaks. He kisses with reckless abandon, enthusiastic and giving. Like all he wants is to make James melt, make him feel good. Bring him to the stars and back on the tip of his tongue, soaked and dripping with pleasure.
James is dizzy and panting and so fucking turned on by the time Regulus breaks away to murmur against his lips, “I’m going to have you now. Say yes.”

Summary
James Potter had always been the biggest heartbreak in Regulus Black's life. Living together was a special kind of torture — especially shared mornings and accidental touches, which meant everything to Regulus and nothing to James. When James mocks Regulus's relationships, dismissing them as flings that are unlikely to last, Regulus finally understands the painful truth: James doesn't believe that anyone could truly love him. And the worst part? He's probably right.

Summary
(Skip the prologue from Peter's pov if you want! It's absolutely not a need to read it.)
So no, it didn’t surprise Peter when James and Lily broke up. It didn’t surprise Peter when James fell for the younger Black brother, a more intense and messed up version of Sirius, if that was even possible. It didn’t surprise Peter when this boy brought out the side of James that he never let anyone see if he could help it. The angry, jealous and possessive streak that everyone else thought didn’t exist.

Summary
In the cave, Regulus doesn’t beg for it to stop. He begs not be left behind, alone.
Perhaps this is why, when Kreacher gives one last look over his shoulder and sees terrible, pale hands reaching for his master, he appears in a flash at Regulus’ side, clutches him by the elbow, and Apparates them both out of the cave, directly disobeying his master’s last order.
