The Stargate movie introduced me to the series, and as I watched it, I kept waiting for there to be some reference as to why the writer chose to name one character *Jack* O’Neill (a father without a son) and the other main character Daniel *Jack*son (a son without a father). And when I started watching the series, there seemed to be no mention of it, either, so when I decided to write a Stargate novel, I tackled the idea, and “Jack’s Son” came about. And then another novel. And another. And so it continues… Fourteen of them.
