Whumptober 2023 Day 7: Alleyway/Radio Silence/Can you hear me?
He hadn’t noticed it, and it’s difficult to block the worming guilt in his chest that he hadn’t been aware that the dark haired, dead eyed boy hadn’t sent him a text or plopped down on the couch and started scribbling out his homework for the day. It had just been so busy. The boy wasn’t on his mind as the clock ticked and people whined and paid and babbled about nonsensical spirits.
He’s a bit confused. Normally, if Mob can’t make it in or he’s busy with something after school, though Reigen can’t really imagine what Mob would be interested in besides his body improvement club, the kid calls him or texts him and Reigen gives him a bit of a hard time, but isn’t actually bothered by it. When he thinks about it, he can’t actually remember a time when Mob didn’t at least let him know where he was or call in, even if he was just running late. Reigen hopes that that’s all it is. He’s just running late.

A snowy day at Spirts n' Such, and Mob is missing. Reigen chalks it up to the weather, unwilling to consider the alternative, but a phonecall from the boy's brother spurs him into gear and he braves the weather to find his missing boy.
