    “Closest thing I could reach,” Ratthi says, sounding strangely cheerful. “Incidentally, you can actually bite off part of someone’s ear if you’re trying hard enough. Volescu was wrong about that one.”

    “I don’t think Volescu ever said anything about ears.” Once they’d gotten on jaw augments, the conversation had gone off the rails pretty quickly. If it had ever been on the rails to begin with. Which it hadn’t.

    It’s difficult to imagine Ratthi biting someone’s ear off. It’s also difficult to imagine Ratthi choking someone into unconsciousness, and Gurathin’s pretty sure that one also happened.

    When Gurathin volunteered to keep Ratthi company on the shuttle, he wasn't expecting the shuttle to get stolen with them on it. He wasn't expecting their captors to be both violent and idiots, and he really wasn't expecting the part where Ratthi bit someone holding an energy weapon.

    This would all be so much easier if he had augmented jaws.

    I thought about how the whole "there was only one bed" trope doesn't work with Murderbot as it doesn't need to sleep.
    My thoughts spiralled until I came up with this idea.

    Murderbot is portrayed as touch-averse here, but may be open to changing its mind on that in the future.

    I forgot to give this a summary! Set after episode 3x06 (Murdoc + Macgyver + Murdoc).

    Murdoc has been in the blacksite for a while now after he gave himself and Cassian up to Phoenix. He lives for being able to talk to his son, and as a result he's a model prisoner, but it turns out when you have something to lose you're way easier to hurt.

    Mac visits Murdoc to get intel, and Murdoc proposes a deal: the intel Phoenix needs in exchange for 1 hour alone with Mac. Lights off, no guards, no cuffs.
