Gens's face paled as he remembered, and Senku understood, since last night was not a pleasant memory for him either.

As he tries to reclaim some semblance of normalcy, he finds himself constantly questioning his decisions, unsure if he's truly escaped or just waiting for the next wave to crash over him.
In the midst of his struggle, a mysterious figure appears, offering help that seems too good to be true. Gen hesitates, torn between the fear of being vulnerable again and the faint hope that maybe, this stranger holds the key to his recovery. But trust doesn’t come easy when the wounds are still so deep.

Gen was about to go insane. These busy days reached the point where he rathered do all the hellish physical work. Since Taiju and Yuzuriha arrived, Senku was always busy talking with them, leaving a huge workload for Gen every day, each day he gave him instructions for his daily tasks.
It's not that he was jealous, or that he didn't want to work, but some help with the village would be immensely appreciated.Or

What Mike is trying to say is that if it’s between him, or someone he loves, he will get them to safety while taking the blow meant for them. He will let the bomb go off, and he will take the claws to his chest. He doesn’t care if the price is his life, as long as they are safe.
So when he hears Holly’s screams from upstairs, Mike doesn’t even give himself a chance to think before he’s grabbing the knife he has beside him from cooking in the kitchen and racing towards Holly.
