Summary
There was a moment, a long, long time ago, way before now but not long after Tubbo had left, back when it was Ranboo’s ghost roaming the Prime Path, back when they’d first met Aimsey, that bloom had whispered “I loved someone, once.” They were watching the sunset in bloom’s little treehouse, and the wind had taken bloom’s words and carried them up to the watercolor skies and the bright, ethereally golden sun. “I loved someone.”
(And that’s all it takes, isn’t it? Present tense to become past?)
Ghostboo had to take a breath when bloom said it. He had to remain carefully calm in order to keep Ranboo’s soul safe. But, now, looking at the drawings they’ve made of Tubbo, they can think about it. Really, truly think about it.
(And maybe, just maybe, the past is still the present.)

Or, Ranboo realizes how much they miss Tubbo, ten years after he left.

Summary
When Tubbo was little, he loved cornflowers. They were his favorite, and back then he would grin wide whenever he saw a field of them while out exploring, pushing his blond hair out of his eyes and scrambling down into the dirt to tug them out and carry them home. These days, Tubbo can’t even imagine liking any flower more than pink tulips. He keeps them on his kitchen table in a glass vase, sometimes a gift from Ranboo, other times some that he’s pulled from the Snowchester community greenhouse.
It’s a small thing to be sure, but it’s one of many small things that Tubbo feels strange about.
