Umbran magic smells of smoky incense with a touch of ozone, demon’s blood and the stormy sky with a metallic hint of roses. Faerie magic smells of burnt glass and ripe fruit just on the edge of being too sweet, mischievous, untamed and unexpected. Viola doesn’t know what Lumen magic smells like- another question she can’t ask her mother.
