“You won’t.” Scaramouche’s reply is almost automatic. “But I’ll fix her anyway.”
Childe exhales through his nose, lips twitching into something that might’ve been a smile. “Are you always this bad at pep talks?”
“Only with drivers who don’t listen.”
Scaramouche starts to walk off, tablet tucked under his arm, shoulders tight beneath his fireproof jacket. The noise of the garage fills the space he leaves behind; air guns, radios, the churn of generators. It should be enough to drown everything out.
But Childe leans forward just enough to call after him, and for a heartbeat, the distance between them feels less like hostility and more like gravity.“I listen. To you, anyway.”
That makes Scaramouche stop. Not turn, just pause. His back rises and falls once, slow.
“Then do me a favor,” he says, barely audible over the hum of the pit wall, “and finish the race.”

The boy turns around, and his gold eyes are even more beautiful up close.
He’s really fucking pretty.
Venti’s lips curl up into a smile as he pulls his hand back. “I’m Venti, vocalist of The Windblumes. May I have your number?”
Never, in all eighteen years of his life, has he ever felt his heart stop at a person looking at him like he was insane. It’s a surprisingly nice feeling.
“No,” he says simply. He turns around again, and before he takes a step forward, he glances over his shoulder once more.
His golden eyes meet Venti’s again, leaving the vocalist waiting expectantly.
“But my band’s name is INK.”

Childe notices Scaramouche’s silence and shuffles into a more confrontational position. He scoots until he’s directly in front of him, sitting up straight to face him head on.
“I have a proposal,” he begins, and a sense of dread settles inside of Scaramouche’s stomach.
“Please don’t—”
“Spend your last summer with me. You’re staying on campus for the summer, right? We’ll act like a couple—dates, movie nights, road trips, the works, just until the fall quarter starts in September.”
Scaramouche grimaces like he just touched a roach. “I am not dating you.”

So, yes, Childe now has a succubus for a roommate. He’s rude, doesn’t cook or clean, doesn’t pay rent, raises the water and electricity bill way too fucking much, walks (and floats, yes, he fucking floats) around the apartment naked sometimes, keeps eating Childe’s edibles, and randomly hogs a room just to wank for over eight hours. He’s not much different from a freeloading roommate, except that he has horns, can go for weeks without having to eat, sleep, or do anything, and looks like a normal person to anyone who has the displeasure of coming to Childe’s apartment.

Ajax’s gaze darts around just to find a way to be able to see the Wanderer any clearer than a white blot in the wind. “To see you again.”
The Wanderer’s flinch is clear enough for Ajax to know that he understands. He can feel something cold and dull touch his hand, and he turns it to hold the small hand in his own.
“Even if it may kill you one day?”
The voice is clearer than he expected; what once sounded like a distant echo is now a reverberating sound in his skull. Ajax swallows thickly before he speaks.
“If it means I get to see you before I die, I would let you devour me. Bones and all.”

his plan had been fairly simple; bring it up with dottore, offer a more physical relationship as motivation, then leave with what he wants once he’s done. it simply had no need for something so complicated, since his intent was purely for his own selfish satisfaction. but he neglected to think about what he would do after the plan worked out.
he feels… messy. he never overlooks things, especially if it involves doing something for his own personal gain.

tonight’s subject is a lot better than last night’s, plagued with irritating thoughts of the class president named kaeya with a long blue rat tail, an irritatingly charismatic personality, and a lot more height than albedo. personally, albedo doesn’t hate him. he’s clever, does his work well (even though he has a tendency to slack off), and he’s admittedly charming. what he doesn’t like about kaeya though is the fact that he likes to irritate him whenever he has the chance.

high school talent shows are usually nothing too crazy or special to venti. he already plays for everyone during passing periods and whenever he finds the chance to, the only difference between then and now is that there’s other people performing with him and he’s up on a stage instead of a desk. people already love him - he’s cute, funny (although his dear band would say otherwise), friendly, and talented.
