    Nanami was teetering on the edge of something he didn’t want to face. He turned to leave, wanting to slip away from this conversation, this situation.

    “I should go,” he breathed.

    “Please don’t run away again, Nanami.” Gojo’s voice had a pleading edge to it.

    Nanami stiffened. He took a shuddering breath and turned back to face Gojo, resolve hardening his features.

    “I won’t leave you again.”

    And there it was - the crack in the wall.

    Nanami has her forehead leaning against her hand, a few strands of her blonde hair falling over her brow. The computer screen in front of her washes her face in pale white-blue light.
    Her eyes drift up, catching Gojo staring at her—again.
    Gojo grins.
    “Surely you're not working late tonight of all nights, Nanami?”

    It's the last day of work before the New Year, and Gojo and Nanami are alone in their office.
