It’s… embarrassing, actually, that Eddie’s hero’s journey—unanticipated in and of itself, Christ, but, here they are—kicks off to the musical stylings of one Billy Joel.
But, frankly he’s just lucky it’s not, like, Rick Springfield. Death is looking pretty imminent right about now, so at least he’s not going to bite it to the tune of fucking “Jessie’s Girl.”
Which, considering the Chrissy Cunningham of it all, would be… Well. At least sort of apropos. So, like, thematically, Eddie couldn’t even be all that mad about it.
(Eddie and Chrissy live up to their respective energies of Comic Relief and Final Girl, for a combined result of romantic endgame.)
