Warning! Currently on hiatus. Apologies for anyone waiting for an update. I’ve been struggling to write lately, and I didn’t realize how long it’s been since I’ve updated this fic. However! It is not an abandoned plot, just currently on an indefinite hiatus. I’m really sorry for making you all wait this long for an update! Hope to see you guys again sometime soon!
Swap Au where Kanao takes Zenitsu’s place. Some things may change, while others will stay the same. This is a work in progress and may end up changing.
Kanao Tsuyuri has always known one thing — to run. It’s what causes her pain as well as her so called “freedom”. But what if she can’t run anymore? What if she eventually has to face it?
This is my take on Kanao Tsuyuri’s backstory in my Swap Au.

My take on a Role Swap/Reversal of Demon Slayer. I have fully and extensively planned out most of the cast, working their narrative roles, character designs, and backstories. This extend to side characters or those with minor roles, all adjusted to give a certified swap feel to it.

Summary
The war is over, but Karin Uzumaki has no home to return to. Abandoned by Sasuke, the rest of Team Taka returns to Orochimaru. As the last remnants of a once-great criminal network, they are essential aids in his research, despite having been test subjects themselves. Struggling with past trauma, Karin is forced to face her demons and her trauma from her time as Kabuto's assistant. Likewise, Suigetsu must adapt to life outside the stasis pod, on the other side of the glass. If they're going to survive, they need to lean on one another. They might be able to, if they could trust one another not to drive a knife through their back.
WARNING: Read the tags. Karin's abuse is openly talked about, and some scenes are written out. Please be cautious.
