Summary
Good morning!
Just ran out to pick up Chris but will be back soon.
I made you breakfast, enjoy!
I love you.
— Eddie.Eddie’s handwriting is unmistakable. Buck would recognize it anywhere. Back when Chris was still in elementary school, Buck would always watch Eddie carefully pack his lunchbox the night before, adding in a little post-it note of encouragement. He would watch as Eddie wrote, ‘I love you’ and scribble a little heart next to it.
Now, that ‘I love you’ and little heart is addressed to Buck.
OR After waking up alone, Buck freaks out when Eddie confesses his love through a post-it note.

Summary
Dear Captain Nash,
I know this email is kind of out of the blue, but I didn’t know who else to reach out to. I’m not even sure how to start this email. One time Buck and I signed up for this pen pal program, but the kid in Maine I was writing with gave up after two rounds of letters. It was during my ancient Egypt phase and I think I scared him off with my questions about mummies. Buck told me I was too cool for him anyway.
or
When Chris starts going to church in Texas he reaches out to the only person he can think of who might have some answers, meanwhile Eddie uses his email to try and talk to God, and Buck... well Buck online shops mostly.
A season 8 rewrite told only through email.

Summary
“Why are you acting like this isn’t a big deal?” His voice was raised, but he wasn’t yelling. “Buck, you have been living out of a storage unit for weeks! You’re in pain, you’re hungry, and you’re— You’re homeless. You have no home."
Eddie had such a way with words. You have no home. Very nice of him.
“What do you want me to do, Eddie?” He put the measuring cup down with enough force that it bounced to the floor. “Breakdown and cry? Get on my knees and beg someone for a loan? I took what I could.”
“No, you didn’t.” Eddie’s cursed index finger came up, pointing right at Buck’s chest. “Because you didn’t tell anyone! We would’ve helped you. I would’ve helped you.”
“I don’t want anyone’s help,” Buck pressed. “I got myself into this situation, and I can get myself out. I always do.”
Eddie held both his hands up, but they dropped as something dawned on him. Misery flooded his features. “You took over my lease.”
The last thing Buck wanted to do was make Eddie feel guilty. His decisions put him where he was— Nobody else’s. Still, his head fell. “Yeah, Eddie. I did.”
—
Or the one where Buck has no choice but to move into a storage unit, and Eddie finds out.
