The moon shone between them, lush and full, the final chords of Marina's song still echoing across the cliffside, bouncing off jagged rocks and dancing across ripples of clear water. A song and a mission brings unlikely companions Marina, certified genius and recently-defected Octoling combat engineer, and Pearl, Inkling streetwear heiress and (former) death metal screamer together. But as they navigate language barriers, parents, and the music industry, their friendship begins to blur into something more. With each new song, their connection deepens, and they realize that they may be playing for more than just Off the Hook.
